Built in the 1850′s, the home was purchased by Captain J. Willard Cates in 1875. At that time he expanded the original house to accommodate his growing family. With six rooms available in season (May – September) Captains Cates sleeps up to eleven guests. We love children and have 2 cots available to accommodate adding little ones into their parent’s room. Captain Cates is perfect for family events. We’ve hosted many gatherings for weddings, graduations, anniversaries, birthdays and funerals/memorials. Whole floor and whole house discounts are available. Off season (October – April) Starboard, Margaretta, and Puffin rooms are not available.
