This beautiful State Park can be found in Kentucky's largest city. Louisville's E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park offers great outdoor recreation in an urban area. Named for former Jefferson County Judge Executive Erbon Powers "Tom" Sawyer, the park encompasses 513 acres land previously used for farming. Some of its unique attractions include a model airplane field, archery range, and a BMX track that hosts the National Grand Championships every Labor Day weekend. E.P. "Tom" Sawyer also has an activities for a good number of indoor recreational activities. A lot of hard work has been done to turn E.P. "Tom" Sawyer into the successful park it is today.
Lots of trails, some around fields,some in the woods. Dog friendly.
