“eat in a former auto service garage”
Garage Bar is housed in a former auto service garage in downtown Louisville’s vibrant East Market or NuLu neighborhood. A nod to its roots as a historic saloon, Garage Bar serves up ice cold draft and bottled craft beers, Kentucky Bourbons, seasonal cocktails and wine. The casual neighborhood spot features Chef Michael Paley’s pizzas from a wood-fired brick oven and Southern specialties, with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients. Open seven days a week.
This place rocks! Being a car enthusiast, you can not beat the atmosphere Garage Bar offers. Large open garage doors when the weather is nice and the world's slowest car crash out front. All of the food is meant to share. The menu changes frequently based on seasonal ingredients. The main attractions are outside - picnic tables, ping pong, and turf benches. It's a very social environment, so I'd recommend taking a group.
Definitely the place to be! Wrecked cars in the front providing a weird grungy gas station vibe. The area outside is great, with ping pong tables, and plenty of seating. When it's warm outside, this place is sure to be poppin.
