“One of Louisville's beautiful Olmsted Parks”

Seneca Park was the last park designed by Frederick Law Olmsted in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. The park system in Louisville was the last out of five designed by the Olmsted firm. The park resides in the Louisville neighbourhood of Seneca Gardens, Kentucky. The park has been updated over the years to include restrooms and playground equipment that supplements several trails for people or horses. The park has several sport facilities available and also has an 18-hole professional golf course.

I would beg to differ with James and the description on this park. Maybe I didn't get to the right part of it, but I found it to be completely underwhelming. BAsed off the photo, I was expecting a river- which I didn't find-- and mostly just saw a small trail, a few trees and a golf course. I brought my boyfriend here to fly his drone and we didn't even feel the need to get out of the car. Still, more nature than other places around.

Seneca Park is a huge Olmsted (same dude that designed central park & many of the other greats) designed park in Louisville. Has plenty of great walks and trails, including a 1.25 mile loop, very popular with runners. It has most things you would expect from a park of this size, and it's beautifully laid out of course. Plenty of space for big groups, team games, or quiet corners to escape and relax. Highly recommended.
