Marks Hall

Filming location for the movie "Forrest Gump". Remember when Forrest beats the hell out of a guy for getting handsy with Jenny? It was here. Built in the classic style of college residence halls and located next to the university's historic Alumni House, three-story Marks Hall is steeped in Trojan history and tradition. The second and third floors are living areas with 24 double rooms each. The first floor consists of two lounges with a piano and a pool table, and a study room. Additional study rooms and a laundry room, as well as an exercise area, including Stairmasters, treadmills, ellipticals and a weight machine, can be found in the basement. A pleasant lawn, popular for impromptu games of soccer or tossing a football, and a garden plaza is right outside the the front door. Ground Zero, a student-run entertainment venue and coffeehouse, is next door, while libraries and the EVK dining facility are nearby.
