“LA park with a wealth of history”
Echo Park is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Los Angeles, developing at the end of the 19th century and seeing its greatest surge in growth between 1905 and 1935. Located northwest of downtown Los Angeles, its rolling hills and steep bluffs became a prime spot for clapboard cottages, Spanish-style bungalows and a sprinkling of postwar and Modern homes. As seen in Chinatown and GTA...
Very fun!!
We went here last Sunday and had a great time. Parking was difficult to find, but after driving around a little bit I found a parallel spot on Glendale Blvd right across the street from the park.
Echo Park was full of families barbecuing and picnicking, as well as couples, joggers, students and hipsters. A diverse mix of all of Los Angeles' cultures and demographics. My girlfriend loved it because there were "plenty of dogs and babies!"
The views of downtown LA and definitely the best from flat ground in the whole city! The park itself was set with beautiful foliage. We didn't go paddle boating on the lake, but we plan on going back and renting one on the next super hot day!!
If you are located in northern Los Angeles then do not skip visiting Echo Park.
You will find this place so relaxing, especially if previously you were having a stressful day.
This "paradise" is located within the city and allows you to enter it whenever you feel to.
The colors and smells of the flowers will bring you joy and peace while the water fountains will calm you down with the water sounds.
Enjoy
