“Try the Oaxacan grasshoppers!”
Owned by brothers Valentin and German Granja, Sabores Oaxaqueños opened on August 15 with the idea to serve Traditional food from the state of Oaxaca. Oaxaca is one of Mexico's richest regions when it comes to culture and gastronomy where some ancestral indigenous traditional are carefully preserved. Its food in internationally known as one of the most complex, unique and with great variety worldwide. Specialties from the owner’s hometown of Oaxaca include banana-leaf wrapped tamales with black mole; a rice water, melon and cactus drink. Be brave and try some of their traditional beverages made with native fruits. And if you are feeling really adventurous, challenge yourself to enjoy the oaxacan feast "Chapulines" (grasshoppers). Come and visit us, we will be more than happy to serve you.
