“A remarkably long beach”

The Long Beach Peninsula is remarkable for its continuous sand beaches on the Pacific Ocean side, 28 miles in extent, claimed to be the longest beach in the United States and the world's largest drivable beach, however is second to Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh. Because of the fine beaches, it is a popular vacation destination for people from Seattle, Washington, 165 miles distant, and Portland, Oregon, 115 miles distant.

This is where famed 19th century explorers Lewis and Clark ended their epic cross-country journey, but you've still got a little further to go. Either way, this long stretch of sandy shore is a great place to take a break. If you're lucky, you can catch the Kite Festival, the Sandcastle competition, or one of the other events happening on the beach.

90 Mile Beach in the far north of New Zealand is actually 55 miles long, and designated part of the NZ State Highway system for all of its length. Having driven this beach a number of times, I can confirm that it is in fact 88km (55 miles) long, of beautiful flat sand, that you can drive on at 100kph.

Praia Do Cassino Beach, Brazil (158 miles)
Praia do Cassino (Portuguese for Casino Beach) is the southernmost beach of the Brazilian coast, on the South Atlantic Ocean, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. It is thought to be the longest uninterrupted sandy seashore in the world, with various sources measuring it from 212 kilometers (132 mi) to 254 kilometers (158 mi), stretching from the Molhes at the entrance of the Rio Grande seaport in the north to the mouth of the Chuí Stream, places on the border with Uruguay, in the south.

The beach here in Corpus Christi is a lot longer than that. You can drive on it all

We are free to drive from Corpus Christi entrance 3 all the way to the National seashore. After that you go onto seashore for over 64 miles to the jetty. So yes we have a longer beach you can drive on

Beautiful beach. Easy stop. Has a slightly paved driveway that leads closer to the water, but the beach is NOT actually drivable unless you have the proper vehicle.
