Their full-service butcher shop and sausage kitchen feature Certified Angus Beef, fresh seafood, poultry, pork and 27 varieties of sausages and jerky every day. They make EVERYTHING from scratch, and the quality is unmatched in Lincoln. You HAVE to try their Pork Bacon and Beef Bacon! All the recipes for the sausage kitchen are secret recipes, formulated by Kevin’s father, Roger Mandigo, PhD. Roger has spent 45 years working at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a professor of Meat Science. He was recently named to the Meat Industry Hall of Fame, one of 12 recipients this year! Roger and Kevin work together every day to perfect the procedures and recipes for the sausages, smoked meats, and Deli Meats! Greta’s Gourmet Deli features Deli Meats made right there in the store, like their amazing Deli Roast Beef, which cooks for 20 hours with their special spice blend to ensure they make it perfect! Additionally, they make Hickory Smoked Deli Turkey, Hickory Smoked Deli Ham, Pancetta, Salami, Soppressata, Smoked & Stuffed Pancetta, and Summer Sausage. Their Signature Sandwiches are fantastic, including the Roast Beef & Brie, Turkey Bacon Avocado, and Smoked Chicken Salad, just to name a few. The shop also features nightly Hot Dinner Specials, $4.00 Weekday lunch, and a wide selection of prepared meals, dips, sauces and twice baked potatoes, ready to grab ‘n go at any time! In addition, they offer a nice selection of frozen exotic meats, seafood and unusual grocery items. The shop also has an extensive selection of sauces, teas, crackers, spices, oils and vinegars. They also feature Christopher Elbow Artisanal Chocolates, carrying the individual bon-bons, 17 varieties of bars, chocolate covered nuts, 2 kinds of toffees and 2 kinds of turtles.
