“Promoting arts and culture in the region”

The Lewis-Clark Center for Arts & History includes exhibits and performing arts programs such as book signings and meet-the-artist events. Exhibits are housed in an 1884 12,000 square foot building listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A highlight is the gallery exhibit on Chinese in the region, "Beuk Aie Temple". Other exhibits include fine arts in all media featuring international and regional artists. As part of Lewis-Clark State College, the Center provides educational opportunities in arts and history for students and serves as a regional arts and culture resource. CAH also hosts several events each year, including Dinner in the Garden, a sustainable community dinner in September; and Confluence Grape & Grain, a wine and beer tasting event that is part of the Annual Dogwood Festival of the Lewis-Clark Valley in April. In addition, many readings, performances and presentations occur year-round at the Center. All ages are welcome, and CAH hosts monthly Family Activity Days.
