“Your Middle Fork adventure awaits”
Known as one of the premier wilderness rivers in the world, Idaho’s Middle Fork of the Salmon is at the top of the list for both beginning river enthusiasts and seasoned river travelers alike. Idaho’s Middle Fork of the Salmon has something for all ages and experience levels: spectacular scenery in one of the deepest river gorges in North America, crystal clear water, blue ribbon trout fishing for native Westslope cutthroat trout, numerous riverside natural hot springs, abundant wildlife viewing, and both prehistoric, and recent historic sites to explore. Idaho River Adventures is the culmination of a lifetime spent in Idaho’s wild places. As a fifth generation Idahoan, I come from a family with a long and rich history of farming, ranching, logging, and recreating in Idaho. Some of my earliest memories are of my family fishing, hiking, and exploring wild places on or near the very streams where the voyages of Idaho River Adventures take place. Idaho River Adventures guides are some of the most experienced in Idaho, and it is common for the guide crews on any of our trips to have collectively over one hundred years of experience guiding on Idaho’s wilderness rivers. All of our guides have extensive training in Wilderness First Aid as well as Swift Water Rescue training. In addition to being very safety minded, our guides will dazzle you with their storytelling, their knowledge of canyon history and flora and fauna as well as their culinary prowess as riverside chefs.
