Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 23, 2019This park is designed for family use and those who like hiking, playing disk golf, horseback riding and the like. I thought it was overpriced, considering there were no sewer hook ups. That being said, the dump station had three stalls and were easy to use on the way out of the park. Our site was a pull thru with gravel base and a nice concrete pad for the picnic table. There were also additional parking spaces next to each site (nice touch).
We stayed here so we could visit Meadow Brook Hall mansion. Driving around the area, it became clear why the park is so expensive. There appears to be quite a lot of wealth in the Rochester area and very few RV parks. Note the roads into the park are not all paved, choose your entry carefully (take Rochester Road to Romeo Road). Also, the interior roads of the park are all dirt so it can be muddy until you get to the RV sites.

This is a very busy park for all kinds of day use activities. We stayed here to catch a Detroit Tigers game in route to Mackinac Island. We stayed in the A loop and were in site 10. The campground is nice but the noise was quite noticeable. Locals pay around $20 per night and they come with partying on their mind, which I understand. It's their tax dollars that are funding the park and it's convenient to the Detroit metro area.
***Be sure to come in from the Kline/Romeo road on the south side of the park. Google Maps took us from the north and it is all dirt roads.

Pulled in on a rainy afternoon and it was muddy throughout. Site selection was confusing online and not much more clear at the office due to reservable/nonreservable, standard/premium, etc. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Was allowed the option of picking another site upon arrival which was nice but revealed some sites I would/did not pick due to slope/mud/surface & would not have known this on line. Would stay here again but would verify many more details by phone before reserving.

So being a local to Metro Detroit the cost wasn't too surprising considering the area the park was in... Rochester rd. is the County line and West is Oakland County (the richest county in the State). There are a lot of activities to do, is super clean considering it's an RV park. The site was very nice with a concrete pad... I didn't have the choice of site because I went during a Halloween event, so I didn't have any problems in that area. Now, I did hear from many people that this park does get really muddy when it rains. I actually left early because of the chance of rain on my last day. Other than the rain part... My trip here was a good one because I like to hike and bike ride both of which are at this camp ground. I would recommend this camp ground on a dry weekend.

Stayed in June, dry until we packed up so didn’t really have any water issues. The loop we were In Was pretty spread out. I really appreciated the 2.5 miles of paved walking trails.
The showers were not my favorite as you could not adjust temp or pressure - I am a really hot shower person but it was very tolerable.
The roads are dirt/rock and the morning we left it had rained so there was some mud that splattered on the trailer but nothing that you would get stuck in.
I was able to choose the site online and it had photos of each site.
We were there in the week so not crowded at all.

Concrete parking pads with concrete level sitting area covered by our awning. Good water pressure, 50 amp power, easy in and out. Great dump station. Quiet. Of all the parks we stay in, this is in our top ten list. We are a class a towing a car. Price very reasonable.
