“Civil War era home”
Glendower Historic Mansion is presented as a northern antebellum Greek revival mansion home circa 1845 to 1865. The house is decorated in period furniture and fashions. Costumed interpreters lead guided tours. The grounds include a terrace garden, a Civil War era medicinal herb garden and an herbaceous alle garden. Several trees on the grounds are designated as "history trees" and are identified. Glendower is open seasonally from early June through Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Hours of operation are Wednesday through Saturday from 1:00pm to 5:00 pm. Admission is $5.00 adults, $4.50 seniors, $3.50 students under 18. AAA discount of 10% is available.
