It was a pretty good stay. We were in the Arizona tower. I guess the California Tower is adults only. I wish we were there. Lol. The pool is also on the other side of the California tower. Not that we went in. It's a very basic pool. There were lots of kids.
We were on the 7th floor with the riverview. The view was amazing. It was so fun to get to watch all the water crafts when we were relaxing. There are tennis courts in our view as well. Somewhere above the casino. Gosh what a wasted area. We seen one set of people go out and play for like a half hour for our entire four days. This area would be utilized so wonderfully as an adult only pool or hot tubs or something nice for just adults. A tennis court is just useless. At least it seems so.
The casino itself is pretty nice. Smokey of course. But clean. Some good options for dining. A panda express, mcdonald's, Cafe aquarius, outback steakhouse, River Rock Pizza and pasta. I think there was one or two more. The water taxi stand is right outside of the California Tower. As well as the celebration Cruise boat and a place you can rent jet skis. Everything's pretty convenient.
Our room was nice. Our bed was surprisingly comfortable. I'm super picky when it comes to bed and almost always wake up with a backache in hotels. But I slept very comfortably. There is a mini fridge and a coffee maker but no microwave. That was a little bit of a bummer. Also our hair dryer did not work. And the toilet takes like three flushes every time to get everything down. It's an odd design where the TP doesn't suck down right away for some reason.
The room for the most part was clean. There were a few hairs here and there. But nothing major. We didn't do a daily housekeeping, but every time we walked by the housekeeper outside she was very friendly and asked if we needed anything.
The only real problem we ran into is we called for a bell cart when we were leaving. After waiting a half hour we called, only to be put on hold for 10 minutes. We just hung up and we ended up taking our stuff down ourselves. As we were getting off the elevator the guy was coming onto the elevator with a cart. We told him never mind. You can't call valet and have your car waiting for you for some reason. So you have to go down with your stuff and wait outside in the heat for your car.
Overall it was a good stay. We would definitely stay here again. It's a great price.
We had an overall OK stay here. The sushi bar is really nice. Some rooms need some maintenance.
Not more than 10 minutes after my husband and I check into the hotel I trip over a piece of duct tape on the floor where I assume the carpet is ripped located by Duets. I broke my foot and severely sprained my ankle...to add insult to injury NO ONE from the hotel management...Not the manager, assistant manager, the assistant managers assistant asked me if I needed ANYTHING, not ice, wheel chair for my stay nothing. I was flabbergasted....this is no way to run a hotel or have quality customer service. The incident ruined our trip...I hobbled around the hotel for two days out of our trip and was in bed very early because the pain was so excruciating. The security guys were very nice and provided me w/very small useless compresses (3) which were not user friendly and the cold only lasted 10 minutes. I was able to make ice packs for myself w/the ice maker....WAY down the hall from my room. I am sure the housekeeping staff thought I wet the bed because of the ice melting it was very uncomfortable. on the day before our departure I walk w/one of the security guys Omar) to show him the area where the incident occured. Omar took pictures my husband and I took pictures of the area which the incident occured, the duct tape and pictures of my colorful swollen ankle and foot. It is all on caught on film from the eye in the sky and there were many witnesses. I am not the kind of person that sues anyone as it leaves a very bad taste in my mouth with all of the unscrupulous people that sue for willy nilly reasons. However, given the fact that no one from the hotel seemed to give a rats ass as to my needs or concerned with my injury...not even "were sorry for the unfortunate incident" I would have been fine with that...some kind of recongnition for my pain and suffering. EXTREMELY POOR customer service or lack there of. Not only will I write a letter to your corporate offices the owner and CEO of the Aquarius. I will write a scathing review on your website, yelp, Westways and travel guide. If you wish to contact me you may do so by email or phone of which you should have if not my name is Michelle Morgan and we stayed at your hotel 12/06-12/10 our room #12120.
