“Care at the Heart Hospital”
Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center is a progressive acute-care facility and medical center that has been serving residents of Southern Nevada since 1971. It is a thriving hospital that offers the "high-tech" advantages of a big-city hospital combined with the personalized care of a hometown provider. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services, and has a designated area in the emergency department to treat patients with less serious injuries and illnesses. The hospital has long been referred to as "The Heart Hospital" by long-time residents, due to its solid reputation as a leader in cardiac care. The hospital is nationally recognized for its diabetes, cardiac, stroke and bariatric surgery programs. This hospital was also the filming location for 2009's The Hangover, where the men find out all about the wonders of Rohypnol.
