One of the best hikes thus far. Take the Mesa Trail to the top and then down the Greenlee Trail. You will not be disappointed.
Brought my two dogs from out of town, it was 75 and a Saturday and the parking lots were packed but once we hit the trails we rarely encountered people. A lot of weed being smoked but I don't really care about that... legal here and what not but I would be upset if I had kids. But for the most part everyone we encountered were friendly and the trails were as easy or hard as you wanted to make it. A few places we climbed some of the rocks but after a long road trip we took it pretty easy. The dogs had a blast. Lots of people running them off-leash in the leashed areas and the off-leash area was basically empty. It was fun, easy and the dogs are pooped. It was a beautiful day. 4 stars only because there's no water and very few trash cans. We had plenty of our own so not a problem but walking around with dog poop for a long time wasn't too vacationy, but awesome day regardless. Just a nit pick.
Great free hiking spot. Beautiful scenery. Ducks to feed.
