“Come for a night. Stay for the view.”
This KOA is conveniently located one mile from I-10, overlooking the amazing views of Las Cruces, Mesilla Valley, and nearby mountains. Many upgrades have taken place over the last year, including Wi-fi with which you can stream and zoom, paved streets and a new playground. Choose from breathtaking view sites, big-rig friendly pull-thru sites, KOA Patio Sites with fire pits, Tent Sites or one-room Camping Cabins with refrigerator/freezer and fire pits. An RV wash area (Care Camps donation encouraged), 24-hr laundry and heated pool (seasonal) will complete your visit. Many come for one night and end up staying longer. Visit La Mesilla, known for its rich history and great cuisine. Shop for local specialties, chilies, and pecans at the popular farmers' market in downtown Las Cruces. Other area attractions include White Sands National Park & Missile Museum, Spaceport America Visitors Center, and the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum. Pool: Mid May – Sept 31st. Max pull thru 85 ft. Your hosts: Leah & the Las Cruces KOA Team.

Grounds are kept very clean. Sites are raked and clean as soon as someone pulls out. Bathrooms are clean and the laundry facilities are excellent. A bonus is the very pretty views of the night lights of Las Cruces. Highly recommend for an overnight stop or a few days stay!!
Called at 3pm, pulled in by 5:30! Great view. Clean amenities!
Stayed at this KOA on a recent trip to San Diego. Would definatly recommend springing for a premium site or view site. The service was excellent. Clean bathrooms and pool facilities. This place is short on shade and the pool was very refreshing!! We plan on going back when we can spend a few days there.
Very well landscaped campground. Neat gravel lots. Definitely pay extra to get a view site overlooking the city, it is worth it. Note, when it says it is a "Pull in/Back out" site, that is not and OR. It and an "AND". You Pull in to the site, then have to unhook your toad and back out to leave. Regardless, the view makes it worth it. Excellent cable tv channels. Good Verizon service.

We stayed here for a couple days while driving to Colorado from Tucson. We stayed in a back-in site which is described as "Awesome views from your site of Organ Mountains, city of Las Cruces, and Mesilla Valley. Daily photo opportunities at sunrise and sunset." Everything they claim is accurate, I woke up extra early both mornings to watch the sunrise and the sunset was epic too.
The facilities are very well kept, the bathrooms were clean. We didn't use the showers but they looked sufficiently clean as well. Like most KOAs there are some gifts and RV supplies inside. There wasn't a change machine in the laundry room, so get change from the host if you'll be doing laundry off hours.
Wifi was fast when nobody was on it, mostly unusable when being used heavily. We had no issues with AT&T and Verizon signals without boosters.
The big box stores are on the other side of town, about 10-12 minute drive. Nothing within walking distance as it's on the outskirts of town. Check out the old town area, very cool!

Large RV campgrounds, although this is on the smaller side, are not our "thing" generally. That being said, this is where we landed when escaping from the tight spot at Percha Dam State Park.
Sites are level, gravel is big dog friendly, no sewer smell from the hook-up at all (threads on the hook-up were tight and no odor escaped!) but ... Spaces are tight, neighboring rigs are right on top of you, roadway isn't paved and for the cost of a space per night the roadway should be paved, the dog off-lead area doesn't have a single tree to provide shade from the New Mexico sun although there are other trees scattered throughout the park.
Wifi was reasonably fast although our AT&T signal strength was FAR, FAR faster. Cell reception at the park was not an issue for either AT&T or Verizon.

We stayed here a few days to see White Sands National Monument and Las Cruces. It's a great little city, and White Sands was one of the coolest things I've seen. It's worth a stop over. The KOA was clean and friendly as KOAs usually are. The staff was nice and they have loaner round sleds to go down the sand dunes on. That was a nice touch to not have to buy any. The views are good as the campground sits on a hill overlooking the city. The sunsets and sunrises are pretty. The major downside was how cramped it was. It was more cramped than other KOAs I've been in. You were literally on top of one another. There was also no real place to walk the dogs. Behind the park is mobile homes, not really a scenic walk. And a major road in front so you're basically stuck walking around the tiny park and letting the dogs stretch their legs in the also tiny K9 dog play area.
I would stop here again for a few days if I needed a place to stay in Las Cruces because of the amenities and good location.

I stayed in the back in sites with a view and I think they are the best sites unless you really need a pull thru. Either way, a nice view.
