“relax and unwind among nature”
In its early days, Laramie was a rip-roaring railroad town. Today, the University of Wyoming's Western pride shines forth in this small town surrounded by beautiful mountains. Laramie KOA is easily accessible from I-80, and it has more than 100 RV full-hookup/pull thru sites with 30/50-amp service (water restrictions in the winter - please call for details). The campground also offers cozy one- and two-room Cabins, Deluxe Tent sites and a grassy tent area - all with picnic tables and charcoal grills. Other amenities include a recreation center (open late spring - fall, weather permitting), an off-leash K9 area, a laundry room, cable TV and Wi-Fi. Local attractions include the Wyoming Territorial Prison, Lincoln Monument, American Heritage Center, University of Wyoming, Historic Ivinson Mansion and the Ames Monument. Check out historic downtown Laramie for shopping and dining. This KOA is a great stop on your "journey." Max pull thru: 85 feet.

Most recent stay was 6/16/16 - I'm "late" in posting my review ~ We camp in a Little Rig “Tear Drop” style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area.
Did get close to restroom/showers ~ right across the road. PROS: Restroom/showers are newer modern look w/full on tiled walls/floors. Good water pressure & hot. Shower stalls are private combined w/changing area a little small but still ok in size w/bench for seating and hooks for clothes/towel. Appreciate the paper towels for clean-up of area after use, some campgrounds have only air dryers. CONS: need rubber floor mat in changing area when exiting shower, a small shelf would be nice for your stuff/ need hooks and shelves at shared sink area all for conveniences that many campgrounds forget.
CONS: all sites are narrow and close together / tight and narrow greenspace barley enough room to use the picnic table / packed in like a can of sardines forget about any reasonable privacy and of course the constant traffic road noise from I-80 is ongoing all night long so typical of many KOA’s. Never could understand why they want to build them so close and in view of the interstate.
Very nice, clean showers, friendly people
Not really a camping place - like an over-night place to stay - no camp fires, not big spots. But, the facilities were very clean, and the staff was friendly and efficient enough. The freeway noise did not bother me - my camper is pretty well insulated. They are in the process of redoing many of the sites. Wifi was excellent.

Stayed here 9/4/2020 to 9/7/2020. If you've been to a KOA before you basically know what to expect here. As others have said, it's great for a stopover. I was in an electric/water hookup site only and used the dump station on the way in. An employee guided me to the dump station and then to the site which was nice. No rinse water at the dump station though which I thought was strange. This is a really nice location to get around Laramie. I actually rode my bike to the Wyoming Territorial Prison which was only a mile or so away. Showers and laundry were both nice and clean. My site didn't have a picnic table or fire ring or anything and was very cramped with my neighbors, but it was only a couple nights so I didn't really care. There is a pretty considerable amount of highway noise here. Overall a great place to dump, fill-up, get propane, and take care of some laundry, as well as check out downtown Laramie.

There is definitely an upside to this park but it is still way overpriced for what you get. We wanted to be away from I80 and were able to get a site away from it for a steep price. The road leading to the park is horrible pothole ridden mess! It would be nice if KOA paid to have the road patched up with all the money the charge for sites. Once we were in the park was fairly nice. The staff was pleasant. The sites are all gravel and rock so everything stays clean. The side of the park that was closer to I80 looked a little more run down and seemed to be full of permies or long term residents. Had great cable TV and good cell coverage and WIFI repeaters all over the park. Laundry was $2.50 to wash and $2.50 to dry. They had about 6 of each machine, but 2 of the dryers were out of order. The park is very close to downtown Laramie and the University of Wyoming which has a beautiful campus. So with this park you kind of have to take the good with the bad if you need to be near Laramie because there is nothing else with full hooks for miles in either direction.

My site was rough gravel and dirt. The hook ups worked and the site was close to level. There's a deluxe section that has much nicer sites and further from the freeway. Nearby gas station. Nearby freeway so some sites are noisy. Good AT&T service

This is the only campground in or close to Laramie that has full hookups and definitely feel like they capitalize on it. The road getting there was littered with pot holes and if you did not pay for a premium site ($65+ a night) so was the roads going back to the basic sites. Since we wanted to explore Laramie for a week we paid for basic and regret it. Constant and loud highway noise, SO close to your neighbors and not much ability to have a fire if desired. However, it was great location to town which was very cute and fun to explore along with hiking in the National Forest. We would camp here again but we would stay a shorter time a pay premium for the sites that are further away from the highway, much more spaced out and all
had fire rings. The staff was very nice And helpful at all times!

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Anything we asked for they quickly came through. They were okay with an early arrival.
The campground is an old KOA. It's all rocks and recycled asphault. There's some curbs there that you need to watch out for. I think it may have been built out to be a trailer park and then became a campgroud instead.
Wifi didn't work at all.

We stayed here while visiting family so it was very convenient for us. We were in a premium site with a beautiful, mature Aspen tree right in our patio. Table & chairs were great for enjoying morning coffee. Close to I-80 so definitely hear traffic. Showers were hot with great water pressure. We didn’t use any of the other “resort” features so can’t comment on that. Internet was basically non-existent.

The price I quoted included all fees and taxes. Had to make reservation over the phone. They close at 6. We arrived 6:30. No map. No WiFi. Seems expensive for a water and electric hookup only and no WiFi or cable tv. When I called they made it sound like they only had full hookup drive through sites. So ask for they type you want. The back in sites were nice enough. Spaces are tight and without a map we had to drive around to find the correct direction to get into our space. Didn’t use facilities. They had a playground but didn’t see a pool or anything. The tent area was a big mowed field. This place used to be a KOA. Stayed at another place listed as KOA that wasn’t anymore. This was the same caliber.
