A campsite here puts you within easy reach of one of Colorado's most scenic river valleys. Highway 14 winds along the Cache La Poudre River deep into the Rocky Mountains. The river is a favorite for whitewater rafters and kayakers; you'll also find turnouts where you can picnic and fish. Several hiking, biking and four-wheeling trails climb the valley walls. Your hosts can show you a little-used route from Poudre Canyon into nearby Rocky Mountain National Park, back through Big Thompson Canyon. At the Fort Collins/Poudre Canyon KOA, relax with a swim, a game of Ping-Pong and a romp with the kids in the playground. Pool: Memorial Weekend - Labor Day Weekend. Max pull thru: 100 feet.
This site is closed and locked up with a nice gate & lock! Glad I knew someone in the area to scout before we arrived! There is another Koa- Lakeside in the area!
