“in historic New Kent County”
Saude' Creek is a privately owned and operated vineyard and winery located on the Pamunkey River in historic New Kent County, Virginia. The climate and mineral-rich clay soils of the Tidewater area contribute to our complex, food-friendly wines. Our site once boasted Frank's Tavern, a Colonial inn and publick house for wayfarers riding between points north or west and the Colonial capitol of Williamsburg. George Washington and the French General Rochambeau, among other patriots and notables of the time, reputedly slaked their thirst here. We at Saude' Creek invite you to do the same with our rare and excellent vintages.
