“Tucked in the River Root Valley”
Comfort without clutter - an environmentally-friendly bed and breakfast in the scenic Root River valley of southeastern Minnesota. This five-bedroom bed and breakfast is in the residential neighborhood of Lanesboro, Minnesota. It is a Victorian home built in 1893 by Ole Habberstad, a young entrepreneur and business man who had made the journey from the Norwegian community of Eidsvold in the mid-1800's. The home features Southern pine woodwork, an eclectic mix of period furnishings and travel mementos, high ceilings, transom windows, spacious grounds, and an inviting front porch to relax with coffee or a glass of wine. The rooftop gazebo offers a picturesque panoramic view of the Lanesboro valley.
