Kate's Lazy Desert is the Western OUTpost of our award winning Mount Tremper, New York Hotel, Kate's Lazy Meadow! Our 6 vintage airstreams are restored to wacky perfection by artists Maberry-Walker, (whose house is featured in the B-52's "Love Shack" video) and are located in the High Desert of California 6 miles from Joshua Tree. Experience incredible views, starry nights, and the magical experience of the desert! Each airstream accommodates 2 adults only (there is one double bed) you'll have a hammock, a little BBQ grill, coffee maker, and basic cooking utensils... [We don't allow outside RV's onsite - check out JT Nat'l Park]

Do it. Do it. Do it. Stay here. You won't regret it. Obviously, you won't find any hotel that's as well-decorated as this (other than Kate's Lazy Meadow, this place's fraternal twin) but keep in mind, staying here is a little closer to camping than staying in a hotel-- they are Airstream trailers, after all.

Ok, so if you thought the house in B-52's "Love Shack" video was cool, imagine staying in an Airstream designed by the same people that own that house! Each trailer is beyond cool, and their sense of humor and convenient location make this the quirky little campground you've always dreamed of.
