Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on July 18, 2023We travel from Colorado to Washington a lot and it was delightful to find this oasis in Wyoming. We stayed at one of the state campground, Popo Agie, camped alongside the beautiful creek. It was hot hot hot in July! But would definitely stop here again.

Sink's Canyon Campground is a NFS CG that is located within a mile of Pogi Agie CG. However Pogi Agie CG is located in Sink's Canyon State Park. Confusing but true. I have stayed at both parks and don't really have preference since both provided different assets. Sink's Canyon NFS doesn't have that many pretty sites for most people. Most of the sites that will fit a trailer are out in the open which will provide great solar coverage but little shade that may be needed in the summer months. There is site #6 and #7 that will fit most medium size trailers and sits right next to the water. There are more sites that a tent camper will find appealing with shade and some privacy. The one real reason to choose this location is that it sits right next to some easy accessible hiking trails and water (people also mountain bike these trials) that are great for dogs. From my observation, most people keep their dogs off-leash and that all the dogs were well behaved. Note you can access these trails from Pogi Agie CG but will add about 2+ miles to your trip. I am not going to comment about Verizon cell service as some times I would get 1 bar LTE, 3G and then no service. There are vault toilets and trash service.

Arrived here just before and took the last or maybe next-to-the-last show that would work for our 24' Class B. Had a nice walk on the trails located across the bridge before dinner and shower. Little to no cell when we first arrived; a couple hours later there's enough on both Verizon and AT&T for email and light web surfing, at least with our WeBoost on.

Stayed enroute from YellowStone to Denver.
It's 20 minutes off the road but worth it.
Was 88 degrees when we got there but cools off nicely when the sun gets low. Your in a canyon so the breeze seems constant.
Too many flies for a 5 star rating, while the cows walking through the site in the morning was interesting they may be the reason.
Had enough connectivity for light surfing.

This CG is right on the Popo Agie river and very accessible from the main road. As you enter the CG, there is a large day use parking area because there are some trailheads here. A short road goes to the right and has maybe 6 sites along it. There is a small turn-around space at the end, with some tent sites. When I was there, there were too many vehicles parked at the end, including a travel trailer that was camped there, not using a camp site, just taking up space in the turn-around. If you go left as you enter the CG, there are about 6 more sites. Only one has trees for shade; the rest are very exposed. Sites have fire ring, picnic table, bear box. Some have tent pads. One vault toilet for the CG and trailhead so it was often in use. It's convenient to the Bruce TH about 1-2 miles up the road.
I mostly had no signal with Verizon, just an occasional brief blip of signal.
