Huntington Lake

Huntington Lake is located just below the alpine level at 7,000 feet in the High Sierras. Located in central California it is a favorite destination from the central coast and many locations in the San Joaquin Valley. Although the Wilderness trails are not available in the spring, many enjoyable hours of walk are available in the lake basin. While walking around the lake the streams which feed the lake will run full. Deer come to the lake edge at twilight.
