“Nestled in a shady grove of tall pines”
Shasta Lake in Northern California offers matchless days of enjoying outdoor activities including boating, the best water skiing & wake boarding surface in the Western United States, renown fishing, houseboating, picnicking, and hiking along the lake and through the expansive forest. Shasta Lake is the largest man made reservoir in California with 370 miles of rugged, picturesque shoreline that encompasses caverns, forests, rock cliffs, waterfalls, and numerous islands. Shasta Lake is fed by three major rivers, the Sacramento, Pit and McCloud as well as the abundant streams. The many arms, coves and bays with their varied terrain make the lake seem like several lakes rather than one. So when you want a relaxing vacation on Shasta Lake, visit us at Lakeshore Inn and RV, Lakehead, California! Enter our Lakehead Spring & Fall trout derbys

The bar and restaurant are nice and food was very good with friendly staff.
Level sites with various length and hookup type options. Back in or pull thru. Rates range from $65 to $85.
We had originally booked a site in the National Forest down the road but it was crazy hot so we relocated to be able to run AC. So we didn't feel like running around looking for another spot. We did get a 10% discount. We were here on weekdays and it was almost deserted. Noise from I-5 not bad, there is a train very close that runs all hours of the day & night.
I think it's overpriced for what you get and compared to the area. The lake here (Doney Creek) is extremely low and you'd have to drive elsewhere to launch even a small boat/kayak.
Bathrooms/showers were old and dirty - I would not want to camp here without being self contained. Pool looked pretty nice and clean. Playground was in good shape, too.
