“Delicious farm-to-table breakfast and lunch”
Simple Cafe is meant to be more than just a restaurant. Besides serving great and healthy food in a creatively designed friendly place, simple café will help serve as an example of the benefits of sustainability. From recycling the old Napa Auto Parts Building to buying our ingredients directly from local farmers, we are striving to promote good stewardship of our resources and doing business with our neighbors. Simple Café’s owners, Lori and Tom Hartz, began their journey to open a local community based restaurant with a reading of Barbara Kingsolver’s book, “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle.” The book extols the value of living more lightly on our planet, following the advice of our parents to take care of what we have. Lori and Tom travel only a few blocks to the restaurant every morning, but they hope to help spread the word about the value of eating local around the world.
