Directions from IH-10 IH-10 East Follow IH-10 through Lake Charles. Take exit 30A and follow the service road under the IH-10 bridge. This service road passes directly in front of the Player's Island/Harrah's Hotel Casino, then becomes Lakeshore Drive, which leads directly to the Lake Charles Civic Center. IH-10 West Take IH-10 East from Houston to Lake Charles. Take Exit 29, which is the Lakeshore Drive/Downtown Exit. Follow Lakeshore Drive, which leads directly to the Civic Center.

Restrooms closed (for a while). There are port-a-potties with toilet paper and working outdoor showers to wash hands, but probably not worth stop unless you are planning to hangout at the lake.

This place was a great surprise! Besides the beautiful scenery, statues,and fountains. At the far end of the park was an amazing playground for the kids to play on "including a splash pad and clean restrooms."
