“Pick your own apples and pumpkins or if you want your Christmas tree too”
Peacock Road Tree Farm has been selling trees since 1995. Prior to Ed buying the farm in 1985, it had been a hay, corn and bean farm. In 1987, Mid-Michigan had a severe drought and every tree on the farm died. The next spring, Ed replanted the farm. Only a few generations ago, everyone was somehow connected to a farm. People knew about food production and its importance. Today, few people have family members with farm experience and often that experience is limited to large factory farms. It is our goal to do what we can to teach young people and families the importance of farming. We hope that a visit to our farm will light a spark in just one young person who may become a future farmer.
