“in the business of delicious gumbo since 1927”
We have been in business since 1927 when Mr. and Mrs. William Stinson moved to Lafayette to open Mom and Pop Stinson's Cafe in the Garden Hotel. Mr. Stanley Dwyer went to work in 1942 for the Stinson's to become their head cook. He ran their kitchen till the time he purchased the Cafe from the Stinson's in 1965. Yuline Dwyer wife and several of their childrens worked in the cafe, this tradition was carried on by their son Michael and wife Debbie along with their children to continue what was started back in 1927....to bring to acadiana the best of home cooking at an affordable price for all of acadiana to enjoy...
