Clean, safe, quiet. Best spots for rigs (in my opinion) would be 129, 131, 143, 142. They seem to hold much less water then the other spots; all have a parking pad. I would avoid space 112 since there is a very precarious tree lurking over the sight. The walking path was a bit too vigorous for us, but there is plenty of paved private roads for exercise and the private beach area is very close. Lots of family bikers around.
Fontainebleau State Park includes 2,800-acres and is located on the shore of Lake Pontchartrain. On a clear day, visitors can see the lake dotted with multi-colored sailboats of all sizes and types. The sandy beach also is a delight for sunbathers. An old railroad track that runs through the park has been converted into the Tammany Trace as a part of the Rails to Trails program. It is a wonderful route for cycling, hiking and in-line skating.
