Gravel parking lot camp ground, bathroom and showers not nice at all. Great beach views. Won't stay there again, much better places on the coast.

People either love or hate this place. I would take all the bads any time for the gorgeous location here.

The bads first: A minor issue with trash, loose dogs everywhere, people coming and going constantly, some less savory than others, pricey for a place that feels very "rustic".

The goods: The view! Gorgeous ocean views of the rugged ocean and beautiful seastacks. Nearly as beautiful as Ruby Beach in the NPS. This appears to be a prime spot for surfers, so there are surfers in and out constantly, and they're fun to watch. The sound of the ocean and a very quite fog whistle is lovely to fall asleep to. Full hook-ups (no cable or Wi-Fi).

This park is composed of two separate campgrounds with very different feels. The North side is newer, with newer utilities and larger sites, separated by short "fences" about 3' tall, situated in flat open space. Though adjacent to the ocean, the berm and foliage look like they block the view of the water. I stayed on the South side, which is more rustic with older facilities and sites more close together, but it is more treed and has unobstructed views of the ocean, nearby cove and sea stacks. I much preferred this side.

If you have a dog: This is a great beach to let him run around and have fun. But be aware, if he's not a dog that gets along well with other dogs, that there will be loose dogs that will approach, with NOBODY around to call them back. It was like this all the days I was there, with many different dogs. All I encountered were not aggressive, but I did worry about my dog, who can get cranky if other dogs are too clingy around him, with no owners around to call them back.

There is a laundry room with the washers and dryers. $1/load for both wash and dry (but the dryers don't work well, so expect to run a load twice).

Not a whole lot around in terms of food. There is a convenience store adjacent to the campground, but it has a more gas-station style selection than a full-fledged grocery selection. Nice, friendly espresso stand on site.

Great little park. We stayed in the northern, newer section as there were less people and it seemed quieter overall. Nice, big sites with lots of space. Also, our dinette is in the back, so by backing in, we could face our panorama windows towards the beach instead of the trees. The dunes do block the view of the beach directly, but you can still see the haystacks, the fog, and the sunrise. It was beautiful!

Our kids loved digging in the sand on the beach, climbing on the huge driftwood logs, watching the surfers, and we even flew our kite. Beware of high tide and the huge waves. Sam helped a guy who had broken his ankle falling of a log when it was hit by a wave. There's a reason those driftwood pieces are so large!! The waves at high tide are very powerful.

It was off season, so rates were cheaper and since it rained almost the whole time we were there, full hook-ups were a nice bonus. We did get a break in the rain for about a half a day and enjoyed being just a few steps away from a beautiful beach to play on.

La Push is pretty out in the middle of nowhere so definitely stock up on groceries and gas before going out there! The town of Forks is about a 30 minute drive, and it was about 20 minutes over to Rialto Beach.

We had great Verizon signal and didn't need to even use our booster.

You're in the Olympic National Forest and you're on the beach. Do you need to know anything else?

Probably. This review is for the Oceanside Park, not the Lonesome Park - both are managed together and if you don't specify you aren't guaranteed the beach sites.

Sites are huge with full hook ups. Some of the beach-facing sites have sewer at both ends to accommodate both 5th wheels and motorhomes. Sweet. Sites 3-11 "face" the beach. We stayed in Site 2 and would reserve it again as it sits higher than the others and therefore you can see the water over the small dunes. The view was from our dining room, not our windshield, but it was sweet. Got the sunsets through the windshield instead.

Office has a quality souvenir section, a small espresso kiosk is on site, as is a laundry and restroom. Wetsuits and surf boards can be rented at the park as well. General store in walking distance has everything you need, including diesel.

In addition to the RV park are a lodge and a lot of cabins. Would be a great location for a reunion - although you're 17 miles from the nearest town.

Zero ATT service here. Internet only at the office, and then only for checking email.

Only ding is the noise. This beach is popular for surfers and with easy access to the beach and day passes for $5 until 11 PM, it is very busy on weekends. Friday through Sunday nights there were very loud, very many fireworks. They were awesome to watch, but went until 10:30. If you have a dog that freaks out, don't come on summer weekends. There are a lot of staff, super friendly and helpful, but their carts running around on the gravel are loud as well.

We loved it here, loved the little reservation town, loved the access to the Olympic Park, Forks, the Hoh Rain Forest, Neah Bay. We'll be back for sure!

Dogs are allowed without leash on the beach.

We stayed there in the off-season. We were on of 4 people in the south camp.
The site was leveled, and properly maintained. They had security going thru the campsite all night long.
During the day there were some people that did not belong in the park riding quad motor bikes, parking by the no parking zones and driving around - it was very annoying.
Restrooms were mediocre at best and the presence of porta-potties on the property did not help at all.
Another downer was the fact that we had zero cell phone coverage and that their wifi was only available in a very restricted area by the office. In this day an age not having a decent wifi system to support their guests is unacceptable.
I would probably stay there in the off season again. But the wifi is a big deterrent for me.

This was our favorite campsite we've stayed at so far!

Worth the money to be parked right across the beach and get to see this view everyday! I wish we could have stayed longer. While we were there, we drove to Rialto Beach and to Cape Flattery, both were so beautiful and the reason why we wanted to come to the PNW. Cape Flattery is worth the drive for sure and a must see!

You have no cell service but the office offers a Wifi room that you can use.

We stayed here 5 days in late March. There are two campgrounds; Oceanside CG and Lonesome Creek CG. LCCG is about a 1/2 east and although nice the sites are smaller. We would have stayed longer, but they were pretty well booked. We stayed at the Oceanside CG. They have both pull through and back in sites, both with ample room. They have full hookups, shower/bathrooms/laundry close by and a fairly well stocked store about a mile away. Each site has a firepit and wood is plentiful. The village of LaPush has very few services, but this a place to get away from it all. The view of the ocean, seastacks, and wildlife are worth the price. We saw seals and orcas, but the bigger whales come later in spring. The beach is loaded with incredible driftwood and you can walk the beach for hours. Nearby Rialto Beach is also a must see if staying here. Sleeping every night with the sound of the waves on the beach.......priceless.

Very special camping site with full hookup (50 amp too). Friendly staff, rustic wooden picnic tables, level gravel sites, easy walking distance to beach #2 (which is only a .7 mile wooded walk to a long sandy beach). On the weekend the place was packed with surfers, what a fun experience to look straight out from our rig and watch them paddle out. We also watched a pod of female grey whales with their calves swimming very close to shore. The young ones kept popping their heads up.

Our daily cost reflects the high season rate.

This is as close to the beach as you can get without parking your rig in the sand. We had spectacular views out our front window.

Beach has some awesome huge driftwood and is super dog friendly, also a good surf spot!

Had no AT&T signal but Verizon worked fine. There is WiFi in the office area only- we never tried it.

Can walk to general store, marina and restaurants.
Also be sure to check out Rialto Beach and walk to hole in the wall to check out the tide pools.

There's a part of me that doesn't want to write this review... mainly because I want to keep this place to myself, but I can't help but share the love.

This place is the perfect spot to get away from it all. If you are looking for a hip downtown area then you want to look closer to the Port Angeles area and not here. Sure, you are close to Forks, but you will be hard pressed to find 2 different restaurants within a 30 min drive to eat at. If you enjoy beach camping, hiking, outdoorsy stuff and quiet - then you will love it here. Bring a tent if you have one and spend a night at Beach 2 which was packed with campers the night we visited.
