About 10 miles to the Mouse house that is Disney.
Sites are pretty close but you are in the heart of Mouse country. Close to everything food/shopping/Disney. the staff is more than friendly. I had a sewer connection that was slow to drain. The maintenance person came over and had to did a couple feet down and replace a pipe that was slowed by roots growing into it. I was on a grass spot with a concrete pad for a picnic table. The pool is nice and on the weekends they have a tiki bar atmosphere. Minimal adult drinks and a bbq grill (for a fee). It's an older type park and the bath houses need a redo. For me it was free so who am I to complain. Great location to winter and see the Mouse.
Update: Stayed a few times over the winter. Tha last time I stayed in Apr '18 had a bicycle stolen so I will not be returning. The police did say this is a common crime for this park.

Campground is good overall could use some improvements such as a few sites are just sandy without grass and our picnic table needs to be thrown out but other sites have nice newer tables. Laundry is hit and miss with clean washers and dryers that aren’t plugged up (our clothes came out hot but not dry lol). Showers need to be redone as there is mold on the ceiling in some of the bath houses(some are better then others). Staff are really friendly and if you have a thousand trails membership you can stay 14 nights free so if staying more then a week buy the yearly camping membership and it’s cheeper then 2 weeks. There are a lot of permanent trailer homes and some residents are a little rambunctious but overall only heard a couple going on about nothing at the bathrooms/laundry. There is a nice pool with handicap assist seat and hot tub with tiki bar, clubhouse, games room, a playground, free mini putt, a large dog park, lots of doggy bag stations around, horseshoes, shuffleboard, karaoke on Saturday night, bingo games.
Every site is has all three 15/30/50 amp hook ups with water and sewer.

We are Thousand Trails members but they didn't have availability so we paid $66 for an overnight stay after our 20% discount as TT members. Stayed in site 345 with full hookups (50amp, water, sewer). The site was a bit muddy which made it tricky to get positioned right and a little slippery when we left. It hadn't rained in a few days so not sure how it would be after a rainstorm.
The front desk service was not exactly friendly. Not sure if the lady was having a bad day but she was rude to the guest in front of me, rude to me, and rude to another guest when we came back in later for something else. We had called and arranged short-term parking in their grass lot several months prior. When we informed the front desk lady that we were planning on doing short-term parking the rest of the week after we stayed that night, she yelled at me that she hates that the park allows that and it would take me a lot of time to fill out paperwork. It took a few visits to the office for her to remember all the paperwork I had to fill out (more of an inconvenience to us but we never complained so not sure why she would be mad). The short-term parking is a pretty good distance away from the actual RV park through a trailer park. It's a tight turn in and the gravel road is full of holes and dips. We were still grateful for a spot to park while we went to Disney the rest of the week. And it was $35 for the week which was a better deal than most places we called.

The Good: Making a reservation was relatively easy, and contacting the office prior to arrival was met with very pleasant ladies on the phone. The location is great, very close to the theme parks in the area and grocery, convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The Bad: upon arrival you are presented with a set of rules as well as those posted on the web site. Well let’s just say they really don’t enforce them. For example they state no dog/pet pens, well there were plenty of them and no enforcement, so bring them if you have them. Another rules is in reference to your rig and it’s condition. There were a number of hunks of junk, so I don’t think that rule is enforced. The sites all have full hook up, but we had a premium site and it was on a patch of dirt/grass...I would recommend any of the few concrete sites if you can get one. If you can imagine the mess in your rig on our premium dirt patch (mud) when it rains...Reatroom/shower facilities are a bit dated and rundown, but cleaned regularly. The mini-golf course needs a cleaning and some upkeep. There are constant tour helicopters flying back and forth on a regular basis during the day (some noise). My suggestion for this Thousand Trails RV Resort is, it just needs an overhaul and update and can be special. Crap Verizon signal in our site and in and around the resort.

Membershio reflected in price paid.
The bad: We where Issued a preferred RV site. Meaning members who paid thousands of dollars get dirt grass site with full hookups. Those paying the full daily rate get concrete and closer to the pool. Internet from Verizon is over sold meaning, even with 3-4 bars I had less than 256k speed. ATT same 4 bars and I had 9m speed. This was the same all over the city not just at the campsite.
The good: Clean restrooms large sites and very friendly staff who are most helpful. Add to that being very close to Disney attractions and you have the reason for the 4 star rating.

Not much to add good or bad just a simply average experience. The campsites are mediocre but sufficient, the area is clean enough, nice access to all the local attractions which obviously makes everything a little louder than normal. Verizon service is surprisingly horrible here.

I agree with most of the reviews already given--even the contradicting ones, since the place has definite ups and downs. I'd probably call it a coin flip between three and four stars, but I'll lean toward four since I use as a criteria whether I would hesitate to re-book, and I wouldn't with Sherwood Forest. Of course, that also only applies since I do have the stay paid for through Thousand Trails.
Things not directly addressed in other reviews:
--the $20 we paid for wi-fi certainly didn't meet our expectations. We usually have our own wi-fi set up through AT&T but had some issues with that (we forgot our receiver!) during our stay so we tried the 10 MPS option. Did not work well.
--they do try to cram as many RVs into the place as possible, typical of many Florida parks. Understandable given the financial incentive to do so, but we had a site that, even if we had a picnic table provided, which we did not, the neighbor's sewer hookup would run right underneath it--a less than appetizing prospect. This doesn't apply to all sites; we just had the bad (luck) of the draw. However, as other reviews state, you don't have much room between RVs.
--Kissimmee does have other attractions besides all the Disney stuff. Shingle Creek Park has some nice boating/outdoor options. We liked the shopping options in the area as well.

I arrived in 8/26/22 and all seemed fine….until I noticed the shower rooms filthy and out of stock of items like TP and soap…the laundry rooms say don’t leave ur clothes more than 10 mins and I had waited almost an hour…when I called them asking if I could place the clothes out and use dryers they said no they didn’t want any trouble…the machines sometimes accepted the coins other times not…the pool and hot tub were often dirty and whenever you call it’s an excuse…it’s now 12/16/22 and they know my truck is having its engine replaced and they didn’t warn about having to leave and claim there was no spots but if I miraculously paid 4 month they had a spot…don’t recommend

I bet at one point this was a nice park. Unfortunately it is showing serious signs of neglect. Restrooms are not cleaned regularly, or restocked. The key card system is totally broke. The trash compactor is a really far distance from much of the park, it’s also heavily used by people who aren’t staying at the park. Often the trash is just thrown on the ground and left. Most of the permanent structures/homes are very run down and are a huge eye sore. The location as stated is very good. If you don’t plan on really ever being in the park then maybe this place will work for you. There is a much better option about a mile down the road. Tropical palms is also an Encore park which is just leaps and bounds better than Sherwood. If you can do everything possible to stay there and not Sherwood.
