You can pay $20+tax to stay on a small patch of weedy grass with nothing but a porta pottie, or you can drive a mile north to the National Forest of Couer d'Alene and stay in a bigger, nicer campsite with a fire pit and a porta pottie for free. We got a refund after seeing what we paid for and found a new spot for free in 5 minutes. They also weren't friendly people....

This area is basically in our backyard and we camp in the area frequently. We've done campgrounds, dispersed camping, and boon docking. There is a lot of forest service roads popular with 4 wheelers and dirt bikes, another big draw is scenic beauty and river rafting in the summer time. The park is located on the north fork of the CDA river and while our pictures are early in the season with high river water, it turns into a lazy river perfect for floating. We had driven by this campground many times in the past and never stopped, but this year... we saw a BIG change! The new owners did a lot of work last year and transformed this previously run down area into a great place to camp :) Sites all have new water and electric hookups, level graveled pads, irrigated grass, easy navigation and good amount of pull through sites as well. There is a river rock beach area and they have a shuttle service to take you up the river and you can float down the river to get back to camp.
******Owners are attentive but not intrusive. Check-in was smooth as I had booked and paid online. We simply navigated to our pre-chosen site and staff came to our site and confirmed our reservation and made it very easy. They had campfire wood for sale and delivered it to your camp site. There is some traffic noise from the main road, and 4 wheelers at times. Overall it's peaceful and the bonus was the moose that ran through our campsite! The picture is horrible, but I included it anyway... look for the brown blur "moose". Great experience with our grandkids and we'll definitely be back on future camping trips. Shout out to the new owners... Keep it going!!!

First night in the camper and regretting arriving after dark. The left after bumblebee bridge was confusing / not marked well and it was hard to back in site 11 after dark. Lots of open spots so made this perfect campground for social distancing and location of campground by creek made the drive pretty the next day. Wouldn’t have been a problem getting to site if we arrived before dark. Super buggy by our site though night and in morning - we had mosquitos in camper for days after. Our fault for having to go in and out of camper so much being newbies. Overall good for what we wanted - contactless checkin and space from neighbors to camp safely.

As we were looking for a campground to stay the night while making our way to Montana. We found Alberts landing easy to find from the 90 from Washington. You can see as you pull into the campground that the new owners have been updating their park. This park only offers power and water so keep that in mind.

A few things why we would not come back;
This place felt like it’s a locals campground very packed.
Because it 2020 and with everything going on with COVID and social distancing should be a thing. But this place most definitely does not practice at all. Just something to think about. No one practiced distancing and no one wore a mask.

The sites are nice power and water are good. But you are right on top of each other again super packed and felt like a locals campground.

Also, this campground is a dead zone no cell no WiFi even with a personal hot spot dead zone.

Their prices are $45 a night but then they hit you with a boat load of other taxes at the end. We ended up pay $50 something just for one night with only water and power no sewer.

Sadly as nice as the pictures show for us we would not stay here again.

Expect to be real neighborly at Albert’s Landing. During our stay every single spot was booked and spaces are close together with no privacy. Even though we were very clear about the size of our coach and tow vehicle when we made the reservation, during check-in the office staff was unsure if we’d even fit into our space. We did, but it was a tight squeeze.

The campground is situated on the north fork of the Coeur d’Alene River and it is wildly popular with families and large groups. The river is an easy float and with temps in the mid/high 90’s during our stay lots of locals and campers were taking advantage of the water. Our reason for staying was to bike the Hiawatha Rail to Trail from Lookout Pass. The RV park in Wallace, ID that was closer to the trailhead was full and they suggested Albert’s Landing. It’s about 30-40 minutes further down I-90. There appears to be a fair amount of dispersed camping in the area, but given that we were arriving late on a Saturday, we wisely opted not to chance finding a spot. A drive along the river validated that decision.

Campground interior roads and spaces are gravel. We saw no bathroom/shower facilities in the campground, just a couple porta-potties. Sites have water and electric (ours was 30amp). We did not see any full hook-up sites, nor was there a dump station. There is a small camp store where you check-in. Given how crowded the campground was, it was surprisingly calm. Dogs were kept on leash and kids were pretty well behaved.

Note there is a restricted weight and height (14') bridge coming in from River Road. If you go down River Road 5 more miles there is a newer bridge without weight restrictions that you can cross and still get to the campground. Although you are on Old River Road for several miles and it's pretty narrow. The RV Garmin took across the sketchy bridge on the way in, but we went out the alternate route.

Even though my phone showed 2-3 bars of Verizon 4G, I could not do anything but talk ortext. No love from the internet.

A little too rowdy for our taste. It was a Friday night and things quieted down around midnight.

Check in at the store. Pull off before the store or you might have to back up. Spots are very close together and our sewer was unreachable from our motorhome. All gravel but pretty level. Nice bathhouse and laundry but only one shower.

Good access to the river but don’t come here if you’re looking for quiet relaxation. Busy place on the weekend. Maybe weekdays are quieter!

No sewer. Dump before you arrive. No big rigs. The entrance has old bridge with 14 ft height limit & weight limit too. They charged us an extra fee for other people dog poop after we left. So watch out for extra surprise charges. We got a long list of extra fees when we arrived so we made sure not to touch the fire pit for fear of the surcharge for moving it. I hate to be nickled and dimed . Overall it’s a beautiful country with pretty little signs everywhere and a lovely river on the property. The rv lots are all lined up next to each other without much space in between-typical rv park. The staff were very nice when we arrived but after we left I didn’t have a nice phone call with the front office over the extra surprise fees that they refused to discuss.

Really clean, friendly and accommodating staff. Cute general store with snacks, cold drinks, beer and wine. Felt safe and secure.
