John Muir Lodge

Located in historic Grant Grove, this lodge features an on site family-friendly restaurant. Horseback riding is featured on the property and guest rooms offer forest views. The rustically-inspired guest rooms feature hand crafted wood furniture in a bright and natural light-filled atmosphere. An iPod docking station and work desk are included at John Muir Lodge. Tea and coffee-making facilities are provided. Guests can enjoy games, puzzles, and books in the lobby great room while relaxing by the stone fireplace. Free Wi-Fi is also available in all public spaces. A gift shop and King’s Canyon Visitors Center are both on site. Additional charges may apply. *** Winter Advisory *** Please note during the winter months this property receives a lot of snow. Snow chains or 4 wheel drive are required to make it down the highway they are located on. All vehicles are required to carry chains in their vehicle during the winter season (November through April). Highway 180 is the only reliable means of entrance during the snow season to the John Muir Lodge.
