“The best little dive on the planet”
It "looks like a hurricane just dumped a pile of flotsam on a street corner" in Key West but the "pieced-together" driftwood at this "hole-in-the-wall (wait, there are no walls)" hides a casual seafooder serving up "awesome" fish sandwiches and "incredible" conch fritters so cheap that it ranks as the Keys' No. 1 Bang for the Buck; it's a cash-only counter operation so "service is nonexistent", but that's part of its "laid-back" "charm."
I unfortunately didn't get to eat here so I can't speak for the food, but the place itself is amazing. It would be hard to do it justice with a photo, it looks like a junkyard somehow piled into a facade, but in a good way. If not to eat, then at least a walk by and a peek in are worth it. A lot of soul here.
We would give this place 5 stars if they didn't carry on a five minute conversation with us about Key West Pink Shrimp, we order it and they deliver the catch of the day dinner instead of the shrimp. The food was delicious. The atmosphere is unique and interesting. The people who work therr are very friendly. This is definatly a place to try while visiting Key West. Remember to check your order for accuracy if you are getting take out.
