Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on August 09, 2023Beautiful sites, lots of shade, and very friendly people. While the state parks are still reopening, the sites were clean and ready and marked for the right people to be in the right sites.
Easy access back to town, geographical historic sites, a beach to swim in the lake.
Fishing is also available on a pier, breaker.
A bit expensive to get your RV across and even more expensive if you have a large family, but quiet and wonderful retreat from the city!

We were surprised to nab a site for 2 nights in early August just a couple weeks before our arrival. Our site (72) is one of the least desirable in the campground, but it was level and fine for a couple nights. The proximity to the beach, boat launch, glacial grooves, and the downtown area is wonderful. It’s a very pleasant campground to stroll through, and we noticed that the tent sites in the loop near the campground entrance are perfect for families with young kids. I knocked bars off for the overflowing trash dumpster next to our site, and the old bathrooms that desperately need updating.

The staff here is always so amazing. Campground is right on the lake and can be seen from many of the sites. Usually quiet unless you have inexperienced loud neighbors (as we did), but that isn't the state park's fault.

Loved this campground. We had sites 10 & 11 with full service. These sites could stand some grass as they are under big trees but they were good sized lots. If you want a large grassy lot with a big back yard, look at sites on the nearby cut-de-sac -- they looked ideal. Friendly staff. Bike friendly. Beautiful views from the lake side pavilion. We enjoyed the glacial grooves nearby. Nice dining on the island. Consider renting bikes or a golf cart to get around the island. Verizon was 1 bar and it claimed it was a Canadian signal. The round trip ferry ride was fun. $125 for two adults and a 25ft motorhome. We'd be happy to return here.
I've been going to this campground since I was a little kid. The sites are nice, and the view of Lake Eerie is gorgeous. It's a campground, so things aren't as clean as your home. However, the staff does a great job keeping the bathrooms clean and keeping everyone safe. Highly recommend if you're looking a for a fun and cheap place to stay while you're visiting Kelleys!
