“in the marvelous Flathead Valley”

Rocky Mountain "Hi" RV Park is centrally located in the marvelous Flathead Valley. We are just 30 minutes from Glacier National Park, "The Crown of the Continent", and 20 minutes from Flathead Lake. Flathead Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. You can park your RV or your tent here and be ready to enjoy all that Northwest Montana offers. Rocky Mountain "Hi" RV Park has one philosophy: to serve you-the camper and RV'er. To make our philosophy work, we are dedicated to being a small family run park. There is no "corporation feel" here. There is no traffic noise here, just a quiet nights sleep.

We were unaware that the city of Kalispell had a no overnight parking ordinance and got kicked out of our Walmart spot (even though we asked the service desk as always). It was a good thing though because if not we would have missed this gorgeous park.

We stayed one night but the view we got was spectacular! The park was paved all the way through and had nice level gravel sites. Our kids took advantage of the large playground and we used the laundromat as well. We would definitely come back for a longer stay.

Just barely out of town, so it is quiet. Hookups were good, Wi Fi was mediocre to poor. Can be cozy if full. We were lucky to have sight on our curb side open. Great area for kids to play in, faux western town and playground equipment. Also a small stream flowing through.

Central location for Kalispell, Whitefish and Glacier NP. We would stay here again.

Very reasonable, extremely friendly, sincerely caring and incredibly welcoming and eager to have me stay with them! Right away I felt like Rocky Mountain Hi was my “home”. The amenities were top notch: Free Wifi was offered and I used it all the time every day and I never had a problem with it, and my site was quite a distance from the office. Laundry was a great deal….the washers were the most reasonably priced I had ever seen and I really appreciated that they would fill up full and with warm water when I wanted it. The laundry room was always clean and I liked the fact that it was open 24 hours, as well as had a large deep sink with counter space to do dishes. The bathrooms were awesome (well at least the women’s was). It was clean and warm and had plenty of room. The showers had great water pressure and stayed hot thru out the entire time. The bathrooms were also very safe and secure because they required a code (which was regularly changed) at the door to get in. At the campground there is a large park area for children to play and it has some pretty cool things there that should interest children of all ages. This campground is very pet friendly. It also has an area where pets can play in a fenced-in dog run. There was a beautiful creek and pond I got the pleasure of viewing and hearing every day.

Ellen and Scott, the couple who were in charge of the office and campground, were genuinely warm and friendly. I had just moved to Montana April19th and I called around to ALL the campgrounds in Kalispell and the surrounding areas that afternoon, desperately seeking a reasonable place to stay in my tent with my dog that night and for the next week… NO ONE else was willing to help me except Rocky Mountain Hi campground! I think what makes the campground the best is Ellen and Scott! I am so glad I got the chance to meet them and experience such a wonderful place. One of the neatest things I enjoyed was seeing them out strolling around the campground (quite often in their golf cart, sometimes in their vehicle)… visiting and saying “HI” to campers almost every night.

We spent one night here while we were having a new tire put on our truck. Our site was fairly private although the sites are quite close together. The park is quiet and there's a good area for pets and a nice little manmade lake for walking around. We would stay here again if we were in the area!
(Note: our stay was in September 2015)

We normally don't prefer private RV parks, but we needed to be near a city for a few days and this park near Kalispell fit the bill. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise. We were assigned a backin spot in the older, heavily wooded section next to the laundry facility. Although sites are close together, as is typical in a private park, the trees and the fencing around our spot made it seem really private. There is a newer section with pull-throughs for large rigs which has no trees and is much less private, but as a compensating factor the views of the mountains across the plains are really nice in this section. Our site was also perfectly level, and most sites in the park appeared to be level as well.

All our utilities worked great, and the campground amenities were all somewhere between good and great. The bathhouse was sufficiently large, but it was weirdly configured with two separate areas (older and newer) for both men and women. The older areas needed updating but the newer areas were very nice. The laundry facilities were outstanding, and very reasonably priced. For kids, there were nice playground areas, and for pets there was a double dog run area just outside the entrance. A small creek runs along one side of the campground and there is a swimming area with a floating dock. There is a small camp store on site as well.

While the park is surrounded by industrial neighbors, the park itself is very quiet and surprisingly serene. The campground is within a 10 minute drive of all the shopping one could need in Kalispell, including Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Costco, and numerous supermarkets. I wouldn't select this as a vacation destination, but I would stay here again in a heartbeat for a stopover in the Kalispell area.

Husband and I were traveling from Idaho to the East side of Glacier National Park and just needed a spot to stay. We figured we’d easily find something as we rolled through Kallispell, but I kept drawing blanks as I called on RV resorts in the area. The wind was pretty strong and then the rain started coming down hard and I saw this campground on my Campendium app. We headed there and the nice woman at the counter assured me they had openings available in their overflow area and only charged me half price ($20) due to no hookups. We were thrilled as it was 6pm, we were hungry, and we just needed someplace safe and quiet. We found all that at Rocky Mountain Hi Campground. We walked around after we ate dinner and the rain stopped. Lots of long term rigs and others. The place seemed okay, but we didn’t use any services. The office did have some light groceries, ice cream and some RV supplies. Mostly we were glad to park our trailer and enjoy a very quiet night before hitting the road early the next morning.

Summary: We wanted to be close to Kalispell and this is the only decent game in town. There is also a mobile home neighborhood that shares the property. Both properties (mobile home and RV park) are well kept and quiet. We would stay here again due to the proximity to Kalispell and Whitefish, the quietness, and the cleanliness of the RV park.

Sites: The site we were in (79) was long enough to easily accommodate our 42ft 5th wheel and leave ample parking for our truck in front or behind our rig. The site was level and gravel. There is a picnic table at the site.
Hook-ups: We had a site with full hookups and 50A. Utilities connections were located in the middle of the site. We had to use the water connection that is about 2 feet below the ground surface (for winter use). It was a bit of a pain to connect, but not anything major.
Amenities: There is a gift shop/store that was operating on an offseason schedule. There is a fenced dog run.
Activities: There is a creek with a swimming area for people and dogs. There are canoe rentals (not available during offseason) and a playground area.
Staff: Friendly staff, but not really around much during the offseason.
Area: There are all kinds of things to do in and around Kalispell and Whitefish. Kalispell is a reasonably large town (24K people?) with several grocery stores (we used Albertsons), Wal-Mart, Target, Starbucks (we went to the local Sable coffee...great), etc.
Reservations: We tried to make reservations leaving a couple of messages before we arrived. We didn’t get a response. Luckily the maintenance person was onsite when we arrived and pointed us to available sites that would accommodate our rig. We finally were able to connect with staff the following day and pay for a week.
Access: There are some relatively tight roads to get to the park, but nothing too bad. The interior roads are paved and presented no problems.
Cell Coverage/Internet: We had 1 bar of AT&T LTE (boosted) and horrible bandwidth. We used the park’s wifi but really can’t do much more than e-mail. We were able to get some over-air channels and use the park’s cable (meh). Our Verizon hotspot was 4 bars, but we have limited bandwidth (its a backup) but worked great.
Price: Weekly rate was low at $30.27 avg per night.

Clean, quiet and peaceful campground. Friendly staff, well-stocked store. My dog loved it here; she’s got great taste, so it must be okay, lol. We had a well-treed spot with a picnic table and fire ring. Love the walking paths, mountain views and the little river that flows through the park, with swimming and kayak/canoe access. It was too cold to go in the water when we were there, but it sure was a pleasant stay.

Loved staying here. We had an ideal spot with a fence on one side giving us extra green space. This was a multi-purpose location so there were RV sites, tent sites, cabins & permanent mobile homes. I did not see any resident campers though. The place was super kid friendly with a play ghost town, lots of bike riding space & a swimming spot in the small creek. There was also a nice bike/walking paved trail that followed the main road which was nice. The front office also had a small store. I was able to receive a couple of packages. The laundry room was large with multiple washers/dryers. The lady running the office was friendly & helpful. My favorite part was the water hook up. It had 3 nozzles so I could keep my fresh water hose hooked up while I used my orange hose to clean off the car & RV & the dreaded black water hose.
