"We're the ones with the train." We invite you to join us on an exciting journey through frontier America--Julian style. Experience the gold mines, the farms, the home life, the travel and family fun. All Smith Ranch tours include train rides. We're open Monday-Saturday by reservation. We currently offer the following tours & field trips for individuals, families, groups & schools. "THE JULIAN TRAIN RIDE" 1½ hours, all ages welcome, includes a 1-mile scenic & historic train ride on our narrow gauge "Smith Ranch & Julian Railroad", a tour of our authentic Smith Ranch 1870 gold rush mine, gold panning for the kids, and more! (Monday-Saturday by reservation generally at 10 am, 11:30 am, 1 pm, & 2:30 pm. Available year-round, weather permitting.) Enjoy the California Gold Rush!
