“Pet a baby Alligator”
A little cabin on the side of the highway that has baby alligators available to view and hold. It's free but donations are encouraged.
This was a quick stop to break up our drive from NOLA to Austin, TX. It's small, but the kids (12 & 14) really enjoyed being able to hold the little alligators and see the bigger ones swimming around. The teens who worked there seemed, well, slightly disinterested as you'd expect a teen to be, but they were very polite and good with the kids. There's also a huge wall of brochures of places to visit all over LA, so it's worth a stop for that as well!
Great little stop. Friendly and very informative. Clean restrooms.
FREE! Hold baby alligators and see bigger ones in their indoor habitat. Great playground for kids... nice stop!!!
Cute place. Bigger than I expected. Gator rescue for baby gators. A couple of old snapping turtles too.
Very cool little spot. Staff is friendly, bathrooms are clean and the baby gators are adorable!!
Fast, clean, fun and free!!!! Even learned a few fun facts!
Super weird that there is just a hut on the side of the road where you can see and even hold baby gators. Kind of fun though!
This was a very quick, clean stop. It was a nice place to stretch our legs. The kids enjoyed getting to hold a baby gator. We ended with Dippin’ Dots.
