Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 23, 2022The campground is nice, with great access to the calm, and relatively shallow, Israel River. Very well located near the White Mountain National Forest, with just a 30-min drive to either Mt. Washington or the Flume Gorge.
All sites have water and electricity, with about half of the non-seasonal sites also having sewer. The full service sites are all pretty good. The sites without sewer are either up against the main road, or at the back against the river. They seem to be for tents, but can also handle smaller RV's.
I will caution against sites 119 - 122 as they are right up against the road. Traffic is very light on the road but the limit is 40 mph and the sites, especially 119 and 120, have very little vegetation to separate campers from the road. This is especially an issue if you have little kids that might wander a little too far, as our trailer was just 10 feet from the vehicles with only grass separating us.
So if you can get any other site, there are no complaints. All fully serviced sites are far enough from the main road. The river front sites are peaceful, but smaller.
I will complain that the pool water was a little cloudy. But the people were friendly, the playground was decent and the location was great. I would stay here again.
