This is one of those small town restaurants that has wonderful food and all the locals go there a lot. My husband and I had lunch here and it was packed. We were seated right away, amazingly. The staff really hustles to turn over tables. Quite a few locals came to pick up take out. It is the county seat so the town has lots of law offices - they like to work through lunch. We ordered the cheesburger and fried chicken sandwich with shoestring fries. The burger patty was very large and the chicken sandwich had two breast "patties". Both were excellent. The fries were thise skinny ones that are so good fried crispy, however these did not come out crispy. They were not limp, but not crispy either. They tasted good though. Soda comes in a can. The service was great with wait staff squeezing between tables and around chairs. The place has tried to maximize seating. It was cozy!! The topnof out table was some king of yucky black stuff while most other tables were laminated wood. The chairs were red metal with rounded backs. I am sure people keep coming back for the food not the decor or ambiance. It is in a good downtown location too. Read more
