“Where rock-a-billy met rock-and-roll”
Go cat go! Everyone knows those lyrics penned by Carl Perkins and there's no mistaking that Jackson, Tennessee is rich in musical history as is the entire West Tennessee area. Jackson literally is at the Crossroads of the I-40 Music Highway and the Highway 45 Rock-a-billy Highway. In celebration of the many genres of music that have hailed from this area, the Old Country Store opened a new venue in 2011 in Casey Jones Village called "Music Highway Crossroads". It is in the Shoppes at Casey Jones Village adjacent to the Old Country Store and Casey Jones Museum. The 2,000 square foot space is multi-functional. It offers custom Tennessee items with a theme reflective of the West Tennessee music heritage. A popular music venue, the store features "Live from the Crossroads" stage performances on a regular basis.
