Ancient mammals such as the rhino, horse, and saber-toothed cat once roamed here. The park’s 244,000 acres protect an expanse of mixed-grass prairie where bison, bighorn sheep, prairie dogs, and black-footed ferrets live today.

I wanted to stay and explore until time ended. Something in the Badlands that let pulls you to get lost a little. Truly breathtaking.

The Badlands is a must see. The natural beauty captivates you and you can only wonder what the settlers thought when they came upon this area......holy cow, how are we going to get through this!
