Falls View Restaurant

With the encouragement of friends and potential customers, Falls View Restaurant was built and opened December 18, 1969 by John H. Wilson and his brother-in-law, John W. Hall. That night, the first catfish dinner was served to the public at the unbelievable price of $1.69... "All you can eat!" In 1970, Mr. John H. Wilson, Sr bought out his partner's share of the restaurant. At that time, his wife and children were involved in the day-to-day preparation of the food, and believing, "that to own and operate a restaurant, one must now how to do everything." In 1988, John H. Wilson, Sr. turned over operation of Falls View Restaurant to his son, Tommy, who owned and operated it until March of 2004. At that time, Mrs. Martha Almond of Jackson, GA bought the restaurant. Mrs. Almond, having previously owned and operated a successful restaurant in Jackson decided to buy Falls View Restaurant. With "restaurant" still in her blood, Mrs. Almond arrived on the scene with great expectations of giving the well known and respected restaurant a "face lift"...so to speak. On October 1, 2011, Mrs. Almond's daughter Sandra Heath and granddaughter Cindy Cook stepped in and took over the day-to-day operations. With four generations having a hand in the business, we hope to make it the family business that the Wilson's started. We hope that you tell all of your family and friends about Falls View Restaurant.
