Very clean campground and spacious. Most of the site for RV and TT camping are on the River side, the lake side there is Yurt, tent, and limited small TT camping. Bath house was clean. Enjoyed my stay there and intend on going back.

Site was small and unlevel, facilities could use some updating. Hiking trails and fishing were fun. Nice, quiet park just wish we would have gotten a more level lot. Cell service at site is little to none, but made for a nice unplugged weekend.

We stayed here Feb 3rd 2019. Inland few other campers in the park. Campsite was flat and roomy. Was hoping for trails to bike ride, but they do not seem appropriate for that... too many stairs. Trails are short, .5, 1.5 and 2.5 miles long. The river falls are nice.
NOTE: Check in is not at the campground and the campground is gated. Call ahead. 478-993-3053.

A great hostess welcomed us and was so sweet. Sites are rock and require leveling, but workable. Far enough off of the freeway to provide a quiet night. Brand new picnic tables and nicely treed sites. Small with only 38 sites. WiFi available and worked well.

Originally I thought it would cost $25 to stay at this campground but I ended up paying $35 a night and the campground does not give any discounts. While the campground is very conveniently located near Interstate 75, there are a few things that made it less desirable for me as anything other than a quick one night stop.
First, the roads through the campgrouind are narrow with some really tight turns. Second, many of the sites are short and located on a hillside. This meant that even though I had a pull-through site, I needed to unhook my car at the site so I could back up the RV to get it level. Third, my site was pretty narrow and had a very small patio with a fire ring. It was so close to my downhill neighbor that I could look right in their windows if I sat there, so I never used the patio. Fourth, the campground is very small (I walked all the campground roads and it was 1/3 mile) and is located entirely in the woods, so your only views are of other campers.
Now for the positives. First, the owner was very nice. He checked me in right at the campsite so I didn't even have to get out until I was ready to set up. Second, the park is very easy to access from I-75, about a mile from exit 198. I recommend using the directions sent my the owner as exit 201 has a very windy road to get to the park. Third, if you have a dog, there is a really nice large fenced in dog park right by the main road with a covered seating area for the owners. Fourth, I did notice on some of the sites, that newer, larger concrete patios have been poured and new gravel laid down. These seem to be sites for the more permanent residents. There are a few tiny homes in the park with landscaped sites and other motorhomes seem to be settled in for the long term. Fifth, the site had full hookups which was great. I am heading to a state park without sewer, so I used these two days to batch cook a lot of food. Sixth, the cell coverage was okay for both my ATT phone and my Verizon jetpack. Verizon MiFi speeds were 20 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload. Park does include wifi which I did use to watch a movie and it worked great.
If I stop here again, here are the site numbers I would prefer for my 30 foot RV: sites 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 19, 21, 23, 24, 28, 31, 36 (back-in, longer), 37 (back-in, longer) Unfortunately, many of these nicer sites seem to be occupied by long-term residents.

We stayed here on the river side campground for 1 night even though we had booked 2 weeks. It's a beautiful campground with lots of spacious sites. I don't think any site has full hookup on the river side, but they have 50amp available and a dump station on the way out of the campground. We wished we could have stayed but there was one major issue. There is little to no data speeds using Verizon or AT&T.
We were getting somewhere around 500kbps-1mbps, on either our Verizon cell phones or on our AT&T (unthrottled and unlimited) hotspot. I usually do a check late at night when I know people are not using the cellular data as much and I was getting the same issue. So people may have been posting there is AT&T and Verizon coverage, that's not the same as data speeds. We were able to make and receive phone calls just fine, but the data speeds were unusable. There was also no WIFI available at our site.
This campground is great for people looking to get away from technology and unwind. However, for digital nomads like myself, you will probably want to go somewhere else until they upgrade the cell towers in this area.

This park is located in the middle of meth labs, drug runners, burglaries and crime. We lived here for around 15 years and when we first moved here it was awesome but as the owners changed hands it got worse and worse and worse. My Jeep Wrangler was stolen twice. Thanks to the Monroe County Police I got it back. My golf cart get stolen and I never got it back. My RV generator was stolen along with my Remington Shotgun and other items. I'll say this about the park, the staff is nice and helpful but the owner refuses to spend the money necessary to get security in this park no night watchman, no security gates, security cameras the I know of nor adequate lighting for the safety of their tenants. If you are coming thru Georgia and just need a night or two to rest before you continue your journey you might be okay but as far as staying longer than that, no way I would.
I am not trying to hurt this park but I am trying to alert my fellow campers. If you decide to stay here be alert especially at night. Good Luck.

We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed our stay. There are no sewers, but there are enough bathing houses that are very clean and clean. A washing machine and dryer are available in the bathhouse and there is a dump station at the park exit.
There are pitches in the forest with lots of shade but also some outside of the forest, which was good for us because we rely on Starlink. We had very good satellite reception there.
The only thing that isn't so perfect is the pitches themselves. They are very uneven and sometimes you have to level up a lot.
