Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on March 20, 2022We stay in site 59 . Most site have full hook ups. Quite area along the tennessee river. Lot of sites have a great view of the lake . We stay here with a 30 ft bumper pull camper . There were several class A in the park when we were there and several 5th wheels . Some of the sites are kinda tight.the bath house was well taken care of . This is a great location to go kayaking. And a good place to fish. Verizon cell service was 1-2 bars of lte here. There is a good little dinner about 10 miles away call lil smokes . Great little place to eat at.

We’ve been coming here for years and love it. The views of the lake from some of the sites are great. Flies are bad this year but that’s camping.

Sites are packed close together. Many pads are seriously uneven. I was lucky in that mine was level and had a good view of the lake. Roads are narrow and very steep. Dumpster is far from campsites. Bathroom is fairly new and clean.

PROS
We were able to reserve 368 days prior to arrival
Very friendly and helpful check-in clerk
Fantastic view of the lake from site 45
Mostly quiet except for campground party animals until 3am!
Concrete parking pad
BBQ grill
Fire ring constructed of concrete pavers
Climate controlled campground shower/toilet facility
Coin-operated washers/dryers in shower/toilet facility
Small playground, pool and mini-golf course
Good jumping off point for Shiloh Battlefield
CONS
Campsite 45 was full of litter…cigarettes butts, bones, bottle caps, pieces of chalk, straws, melted soda bottles…just nasty
Fire ring made of concrete pavers full of ash and trash upon arrival…again nasty Pedestal BBQ grill full of trash and ash upon arrival…more nastiness
Campers ignored basic rules/courtesy/respect such as keeping dogs on leash and walking through occupied campsites at anytime. One camper walking through our site complained to us our chairs on our site were in THEIR way.
No senior discount
Narrow site
Site 45 not level
Site 45 mostly fun sun
Basically we didn't experience any of the campground rules being enforced so obviously there is no management oversight at this State Park
Never saw a park ranger drive through the campground (Saturday-Monday)
Never saw a camp host or a campsite for a camp host
Campground quiet hours not enforced
Posted "No Swimming” from campsites along lake, but that didn’t stop a sole and no one enforced it
Concrete picnic table at end of parking pad, so at the bumper of the camper
Sites very close to each other with no vegetation between sites, so no privacy what so ever
Street lights throughout campground, so not dark sky friendly
Small playground, pool and mini-golf course not walkable from campground
Trash dumpsters outside of campground…not walkable
Twisty, steep and narrow roadway into campsite...not for novice rig drivers
Due to short campsites, tow vehicles had to be creative with parking, sometimes blocking most of the campground road, again no enforcement efforts
No WiFi

Solid park. Sewer, water and power. Not many people camping in our loop ( upper). Bathrooms were nice and clean! Site was fairly level but our site was right on the road, no privacy. Almost zero cell reception. Nice playground

Cabin 5 B, this past weekend, was almost a deal breaker. If it had not been for my grandson wanting to go, I would have cancelled as soon as I saw the room.
Smell, stale/old. not really sure what it was.
Hair in the shower, dead bugs and spiders in bathroom floor.
Cabin screen door, taped together.
1 sauce pan and 1 flat cookie sheet. 2 glasses.
place setting of 4 silverware and plates.
Plus side, AC was ice cold, HOT WATER, was awesome. Spotless, clean sheets and towels.
SWIMMING POOL, was one of the best around. Even an 1 foot baby pool. Very clean with new tables, umbrellas and chairs.
