Flowers at the entrance sign made the park inviting right away. There was ample parking. The beach is sandy. There was a Borrow A Life Jacket area that I thought was stellar for promoting safety and helping others. A yellow ramp made it's presence known, I'm guessing it's a boat launch or maybe something else. Houses sit on a hill overlooking Lake Sammamish. Birds were plentiful, both on the land and in the water. There were picnic tables and lots of green grass to spread out on. There were some people walking their dogs. People were exercising in the park. It appeared there was some sort of Christian youth sports meet that had finished up. There were a few food trucks on site, but they appeared to be closed for the day. It seemed there was a bit of a traffic jam, and we had to wait in line a bit to exit the park. It was really close to our hotel in Issaquah.
