“and lovely and wild waterfall”
A very lovely waterfall that is also largely wild, despite being just a short walk from your car. This is a one of the best waterfalls in the western U.P.
A short, easy forest path emerges at a deep gorge. Here the Black River, less than 12 feet wide, drops a full four stories between the dark, rocky banks. It's one of Gogebic County's more memorable but less visited waterfalls. Not for children who dart around. (The trail to nearby Powderhorn Falls is no longer strictly open to the public.)
