Vincenzo Ursini born in Villa Santa Lucia in 1919 entered the USA at five years old. He attended Ironwood High School and became a football phenomenon making all conference 1939. In 1957 he married Eva Nella DiGregorio who was born in Capestrano, Italy in 1933. The two toured all of Italy for their honeymoon, never realizing they would not return for thirty some years. They settled in Ironwood, Michigan raising seven children. Homemade Pasta, soups, and bread was the main menu for this family of 9. James and Eva began entertaining at the baptism of their first son Vincent. The entertaining continued through all seven children, baptisms, communions, graduations and so on; with groups of between 30 and 50 people in attendance. Their lifelong dream of opening a restaurant became a reality when Manny, John, and Anna opened the doors of Manny’s June 4th, 1992.
