The Scottish Rite Cathedral is a historic building designed by architect George F. Schreiber, located in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. It is owned by the Valley of Indianapolis Scottish Rite, an affiliated body of Freemasonry. Our mission is to provide Inspiration for our members through meaningful programs and degrees, provide convenient opportunities for our members to enhance their lives, and provide enjoyable programs and fellowship activities for our members. The Indianapolis Scottish Rite Cathedral in downtown Indianapolis is a magnificent example of Tudor-Gothic architecture and is the home of member activities as well as being available for use by community organizations, business groups and sponsored individuals. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, tours are available on weekdays.
The architectural design is beautiful. Parts of it remind me on a smaller scale of the National Cathedral in DC. It was closed the day we went, and would have been nice to tour the inside.
Very beautiful architeture! Love it, such a gothic/victorian feel.
